Photography

in this exercise we were asked to photograph models using different props and poses creating different effects. we used props such as hats scarves and sunglasses as well as directed poses for the model to create different styled images. as the way in which models are dressed or react towards the camera gives different perspectives to the audiences, we found this out through analysing different images and explored the effect which they had on us, which we then tried ourselves.

Photo journalism

These four images demonstrate the rule of thirds which i a type of grid system where the main focus of the image isnt central in the shot but slighty to the left or right on the centre.

This image was taken using the macro lens so that you can see the detail of the leaf as its close up and the background is blured. the main focus of this image is the leaf using the macro lens mkes the leaf sharp.

This image demonstrates shallow depth of field as there isn't alot of background shown.

This photo is a juxtaposed image as it shows a contrast between two things to cause an effect. in this case old and new is used in the gravestone textures and the new life of the leaves.

This image demonstaes a high angled mid shot which creates the effect of looking down upon something.

This image shows a low angled shot looking up towards something creating a sense of height difference.
